Sarracenia farnhamii is commonly known as Farnham’s Pitcher Plant, named after William Farnham, an early 19th-century naturalist who discovered the plant in Alabama.
This variety has long, upright pitchers that are green with reddish brown veins reaching up to 30cm
Inconspicuous flowers appear in spring
Sarracenia like full sun so are best placed on a windowsill in a conservatory
They can survive with temperatures from -10ºC to 40ºC and also likes humid conditions
You can't overwater Sarracenia, in principle, so we advise you to keep them in a dish of water (tap water is fine) and keep it continuously topped up
Sarracencia do not require fertiliser
12cm pot
