A distinctive and elegant fern which combines sterile, dark green fronds that grow from the crown in a rosette with thinner, fertile fronds which thrust upwards from the centre
Plant in shady borders or under trees
When planting add well rotted leaf mould with 25% sharp sand to the top 30-45cm of soil
In hot, dry conditions a fine spray of water will refresh and humidity plants
