Glossy, dark green foliage with an elegant upright habit
Faster growing than Camellia Japonica with a more open, airy habit and generally more sun tolerant, but they do appreciate some shade
Plant in well drained soil, rich in organic matter that is slightly acidic
Prune plant after flowering before the buds form in late summer
